Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. orange juice
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Mix the brown sugar and cornstarch together in a small bowl.
  3. Add the sugar and cornstarch mixture to the melted butter and blend well.
  4. Stir in the orange juice and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and cooked beets to the sauce.
  6. Cook until the beets are heated through.
  7. Sprinkle with grated orange rind before serving.
