Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. frozen or 4 c. fresh berries
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°.
  2. In medium saucepan, stir together 1 cup sugar, cornstarch, and water.
  3. Add berries.
  4. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened.
  5. Pour into 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish or 2-quart casserole.
