Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup margarine, softened
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • strawberries

Instructions

  1. Combine all cake ingredients except strawberries and whipped cream.
  2. Beat at medium speed until well mixed.
  3. Spread the batter in a greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
  6. Split the cake if desired.
  7. Serve with strawberries and whipped cream.
