Best-Ever Banana Bread(Quick Bread)

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 to 4 bananas, mashed
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure and mix together dry ingredients.
  2. Cream margarine and sugar together.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in mashed bananas.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients and nuts.
  6. Fill well-greased pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch) about half full.
  7. Bake at 325° for 45 to 50 minutes.
  8. Remove from pan.
  9. Cool on rack.
  10. This bread freezes well.
