Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (use juice)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and beat for 1 minute by hand.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased, but not floured, 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 300°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Chop 1 large jar of drained maraschino cherries and put on top of the cooled cake.
