Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal or crumbled soda crackers
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix all ingredients together by hand until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  5. Remove from oven and spread ketchup over the top of the loaf.
  6. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional few minutes if needed.
