Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. wide noodles
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • chopped onion
  • 1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated or shredded
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms or 1 can chopped mushrooms
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 small jar salad olives, chopped
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and chopped mushrooms in a skillet.
  2. Add the tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, and Worcestershire sauce to the browned meat and vegetables.
  3. Simmer the mixture over low heat for 30 minutes.
  4. Cook wide noodles separately until al dente.
  5. Combine the cooked noodles with the sauce mixture.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a small or large oblong dish, sprinkle with grated or shredded sharp cheese, and bake if desired.
