Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Instructions

  1. Brown butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  3. In a bowl, beat together corn syrup, sugar, and eggs.
  4. Add lemon juice, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans and browned butter.

  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until set.
