Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Crisco oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (for yeast)
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, Crisco oil, eggs, salt, warm water, and dissolved yeast in a large container and let rise about 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
  3. Roll out each part on a floured board.
  4. Roll the dough thin.
  5. Cut the rolled dough into strips.
  6. Brush melted margarine over the dough strips.
  7. Use the strips to form crescent rolls.
  8. Place the crescent rolls on a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Let the rolls rise for 4 hours.
  10. Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
