Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup pie filling (any flavor)

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in flour and baking powder until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
  6. Spread pie filling evenly over the batter.
  7. Top with remaining batter.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
