Ingredients

  • 4 c. fresh blackberries
  • 1 c. white grape juice
  • 1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 c. plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. Combine blackberries, grape juice, lemon peel, cloves, water, sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, cover, lower heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Set aside to cool for 30 minutes.
  4. Press the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to puree.
  5. Chill the strained mixture until ready to serve.
  6. Combine plain yogurt with the blackberry puree until smooth and silky.
  7. Garnish with reserved berries or top with crème fraîche before serving.
