Ingredients

  • Red Fish fillets
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • melted butter

Instructions

  1. Mix all spice ingredients in a bowl to create the seasoning mixture.
  2. Dip each fish fillet in melted butter, then sprinkle generously with the spice mixture.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet until very hot. Optionally, add a tablespoon of butter to the skillet just before adding the fish to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the seasoned fish fillets in the hot skillet.
  5. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until the fish is cooked through and has a crispy, blackened crust.
