Ingredients

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large can Carnation milk
  • 1/2 cup oleo or butter
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Scald the milk and add it to the salt, sugar, and butter or oleo.
  2. Allow the mixture to become lukewarm, then add the yeast.
  3. Add 2 cups of flour and mix well. Let it stand until light and spongy.
  4. Add the egg yolks, remaining flour, and vanilla. Mix well.
  5. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into diamond shapes. Let them raise again.
  7. Fry the cut dough in deep fat until golden brown.
  8. Serve and enjoy the freshly fried Sisky.
