Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 stick butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 c. peanut butter
  • 3 c. Quaker oats
  • 1/2 c. coconut or nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, vanilla, milk, cocoa, and butter or margarine in a double boiler and bring to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove from stove and add peanut butter; stir until blended.
  3. Add oats and mix well. Then add coconut or nuts as desired.
  4. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper and let stand at room temperature until firm.
