Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 cups quick oats
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, sugar, cocoa, milk, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine oats, coconut (if using), vanilla, peanut butter, and nuts (if using).
  4. Stir the oat mixture into the boiling chocolate mixture.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper and allow to cool.
  6. Let the cookies set before serving.
