Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups tomatoes
  • 1 soup bone or 2 lb. flat rib or any boiling beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef until tender.
  2. Remove the meat from the bone and return it to the broth.
  3. Add chopped cabbage, diced potatoes, chopped onions, and tomatoes to the broth.
  4. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
  5. Add tomatoes and serve with a dollop of sour cream if desired.
