Borscht(Russian Soup)
A hearty Russian beet soup featuring tender spareribs, fresh cabbage, and tangy lemon juice, perfect for comfort and flavor in cold weather or family gatherings.

Instructions
- Cover spareribs with water, add salt, pepper, and 1 whole onion. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Remove the onion from the pot.
- Chop one small head of cabbage.
- Add the chopped cabbage, 4 cans of beets (with juice), and 2 cans of lima beans (if using) to the broth. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
- Add lemon juice or vinegar, and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with sour cream as desired.
