Ingredients

  • 3 oz. bourbon
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup dark or light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 (9-inch) unbaked pie shells
  • 8 oz. chopped pecans
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 10 oz. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Soak chopped pecans in bourbon and set aside.
  2. Mix eggs with sugar until smooth.
  3. Slowly add corn syrup, melted margarine, and vanilla to the egg mixture.
  4. Let the mixture stand for four minutes.
  5. Add chocolate chips and bourbon-soaked pecans to the mixture.
  6. Pour the filling into two unbaked 9-inch pie shells.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
