Ingredients

  • 16 oz pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Combine eggs, pumpkin, brown sugar, half and half, bourbon, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pastry shell.
  3. Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes.
  4. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 40 minutes or until the filling is set.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
