Ingredients

  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 16 to 20 oz. can fruit, drained and sliced
  • cinnamon to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the box oven to 400° (or use a conventional oven if preferred).
  2. Melt margarine in a 9-inch square pan.
  3. Mix self-rising flour, sugar, and milk in a bowl.
  4. Pour the batter over the melted margarine in the pan.
  5. Drain and slice the fruit, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon on top to taste.
  7. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
