- Break the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
- Line half of the cake pieces in a pan.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and cream cheese until well blended.
- Add the container of Cool Whip to the mixture and blend thoroughly.
- Pour half of the mixture over the angel food cake pieces in the pan.
- Add half of the cherries over the mixture.
- Repeat with the remaining cake pieces, mixture, and cherries.
- Use a spoon to mash it down gently.
- Cover and refrigerate until chilled before serving.
