Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sirloin tip roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) condensed beef consomme
  • 1/3 c. red Burgundy wine
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion salt
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in oil.
  2. Stir in wine, consomme, onion salt, garlic, and soy sauce.
  3. Heat to boiling.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until meat is tender.
  5. Blend cornstarch in water; stir into the meat mixture until it boils.
  6. Simmer for 1 minute or until thickened to desired consistency.
  7. Serve over rice.
