Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Brazil nuts, blanched and chopped
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a heavy 8-inch skillet or heavy pan.
  2. Add 2 cups sugar, Brazil nuts, water, and corn syrup to the melted butter.
  3. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Cook slowly for 25-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches the crack stage (hard ball stage) at 290°F.
