Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 pkg. RapidRise yeast
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. nonfat dry milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. hot water (125 to 130°F)
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, yeast, sugar, nonfat dry milk, and salt.
  2. Add hot water and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough briefly until smooth.
  5. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bag or container.
  6. Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  9. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
