Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 cups plain flour
  • 1 stick margarine

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over Crisco and set aside to melt.
  2. Pour warm water over the yeast and let dissolve.
  3. Beat eggs with a fork and add to cooled waters.
  4. Add sugar, salt, and flour; mix well. Cover in a large bowl to rise overnight.
  5. Roll out on a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  6. Dip in melted margarine and stack in 2 Bundt pans.
  7. Let rise until double in bulk.
  8. Bake until brown at 400°F for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
