Ingredients

  • 9 lb. ground beef
  • 3 lb. suet
  • 1 1/2 qt. tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup ground cumin
  • 1 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 1/4 cup paprika
  • 2 3/4 cups quick oats

Instructions

  1. Cook suet and ground beef together until done.
  2. Add tomatoes and spices to the cooked mixture.
  3. Gradually add oats to boiling ingredients, 1/2 cup at a time.
  4. Cook for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring deeply and long.
  5. Pour into bread pans and let cool.
  6. Cut into 1-pound blocks, then wrap and freeze.
