Delicious garlic-infused bread topped with fresh tomato, basil, and Parmesan, perfect as an appetizer or light snack for gatherings and casual occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 inch thick sliced French bread
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped fine
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped fine
  • Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Crush the garlic cloves and sauté briefly in olive oil.
  2. Toast the bread slices in a toaster oven or broiler.
  3. Brush the toasted bread with the garlic oil.
  4. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the bread.
  5. Top with chopped tomato and basil leaves.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil.
  7. Add freshly ground black pepper if desired.
