Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and brown sugar together.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool.
  3. Add unbeaten eggs and mix well.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients: self-rising flour, a dash of salt, vanilla, and chopped nuts; mix until combined.
  5. Pour batter into a greased shallow pan.
  6. Bake at 325° to 350°F for 30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool, then cut into squares.
