Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 8 slices ham
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9 x 12-inch pan.
  2. Arrange the slices of bread on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Blend the ham, American cheese, milk, salt, eggs, and dry mustard until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture over the bread in the pan.
  5. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 3 hours to allow the bread to soak up the custard.
