Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. cashew halves
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the Brussels sprouts.
  2. Combine water and bouillon cubes and bring to a boil.
  3. Add Brussels sprouts and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.
  4. Drain well and place in a serving bowl.
  5. Melt margarine in a small skillet, then add cashew halves and seasonings.
  6. Cook on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Pour the cashew mixture over the sprouts and serve.
