Bulgarian Apple Cake

- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel and thinly slice the apple.
- Place a pan in the oven with butter; once melted, remove from the oven.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until well combined and slightly frothy.
- Add the melted butter, flour, dry milk, milk, baking powder, vanilla, and cinnamon to the eggs and sugar. Beat at low speed until the mixture is well combined.
- Place a layer of apple slices in the prepared pan.
- Pour the batter over the apple slices in the pan.
- Bake until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before removing from the pan.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve with whipped cream if desired.
