Butter Buttons are rich, buttery cookies with cream cheese and chocolate chips, perfect for festive occasions or as a sweet treat for family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and cream cheese with sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add vanilla and flour to the mixture and blend well.
  3. Shape the dough into small balls and flatten them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Place 3 chocolate chips on each cookie or decorate with Christmas sugars.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly golden.
  6. Do not overbake and allow cookies to cool before serving.
