Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
  2. Gradually add sifted flour and cornstarch; mix until the flour is moistened.
  3. Spread the dough on a cookie sheet and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour.
  5. Optional: Chop up 2 large Cadbury milk chocolate bars and sprinkle over hot cookies.
  6. Allow the chocolate to melt, then spread evenly over the cookies.
  7. Cut the cookies while warm.
