Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons Parkay
  • 3 Tbsp. Parkay

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, combine the brown sugar, flour, and salt.
  2. Slowly add the milk, stirring until the mixture thickens. Cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine the egg yolks and 1/4 cup of the hot mixture, then mix well and return to the double boiler.
  4. Cook until the mixture mounds when dropped from a spoon, about 2 minutes.
  5. Cool the mixture.
  6. Add Parkay and vanilla, then stir until smooth.
  7. Serve in pie or your favorite dessert bowl.
