Ingredients

  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 2 lb. ham or pork
  • 1 spoonful of salt
  • 1 spoonful of sugar
  • black pepper (a little)
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Cook the ham in 2 cups of water until done, then remove it from the water.
  2. Add the cabbage to the cooking water with the ham, along with salt, sugar, and black pepper.
  3. Cook until the cabbage is tender.
