Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans tomato soup
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the cabbage for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the hamburger and chopped onion in a skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the cooked cabbage and seasoned hamburger mixture in a large casserole dish or baking pan.
  4. Pour the tomato soup and tomato juice over the layered ingredients.
  5. Cover the dish with foil or a lid and bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours.
