Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1 pound ground meat
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 to 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Sauté ground meat, chopped onions, and minced garlic until cooked; drain excess fat.
  2. Add tomato sauce, salt, thyme, and pepper to the meat mixture; stir well.
  3. Place half of the sliced cabbage in a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Top with half of the meat sauce; repeat layers with remaining cabbage and meat sauce.
  5. Cover the casserole and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, top with grated Parmesan cheese, and serve.
