- Cook the rice with 2 bay leaves in water according to package instructions.
- Remove bay leaves after cooking.
- Sauté the onion in butter until translucent.

- Pour the mixture into a buttered 13 x 11-inch casserole dish.
- Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
