Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup thick sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups whole walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, sour cream, and condensed milk in a saucepan.
  2. Stir over low heat until the sugar melts.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft ball stage).
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add the nuts to the mixture.
  6. Stir until the nuts are coated and creamy.
  7. Turn out onto waxed paper and separate the nuts to cool.
