Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • dill weed
  • 1 clove garlic, cut up
  • green beans

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, water, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low and keep the syrup mixture warm.
  3. Place dill weed, garlic, and green beans into a pint jar.
  4. Pour the hot syrup mixture over the ingredients in the jar.
  5. Seal the jar with canning lids.
  6. Process the jar in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool and then store. Eat from the jar just like pickles.
