Canned Fruit Cake

A simple and comforting fruit cake featuring canned peaches or plums, lightly spiced with nutmeg, perfect for a quick dessert or snack with a moist texture.

Ingredients

  • ripe and ragged drained peaches or plums
  • nutmeg
  • Jiffy cake mix
  • 1/2 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Do not grease the pan.
  2. Put drained fruit in the pan.
  3. Sprinkle nutmeg over the fruit.
  4. Add Jiffy cake mix on top of the nutmeg.
  5. Sprinkle nutmeg and pour juice over the mixture.
  6. Dot the top with 1/2 stick of butter.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven until nicely browned.
