Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/3 to 1/2 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nuts in a bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, mix oleo, oil, and water and bring to a boil.
  3. Pour the hot mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well.
  4. Add sour milk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla, and salt; beat until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cookie sheet pan.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes.
  7. Ten minutes before the cake is done, prepare the frosting.
