Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring
  • 1/2 cup Mazola or Wesson oil

Instructions

  1. Cream the sugar and oil together until well combined.
  2. Beat the eggs and add them to the sugar and oil mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Add the cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, vanilla flavoring, and lemon flavoring to the mixture.
  4. Mix all ingredients well and form the dough into a ball. Refrigerate overnight.
  5. Roll the dough as thin as desired.
  6. Pinch off a small portion of dough and form it into a ball in your hand.
  7. Flatten the small dough ball and place it on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden.
