A flavorful seafood casserole combining shrimp, crab, oysters, and scallops with vegetables and spices, topped with cracker crumbs, perfect for seafood lovers and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. shrimp
  • 1/2 lb. fresh flaked crab meat
  • 1 pt. small oysters
  • 1/2 pt. fresh scallops
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • salt
  • red pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 c. mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Prepare all seafood; cook until tender, adding oysters afterwards.
  2. Cut up vegetables; cook the celery, onion, and pepper until tender and add to seafood with the mashed potatoes, red pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce to taste.
  3. Add 1 or 2 eggs with sufficient cracker crumbs to achieve the right consistency to fill greased ramekins or shells.
  4. Fill the ramekins or shells with the seafood mixture, then sprinkle with cracker crumbs and dot with butter.
  5. Bake in a hot oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with lemon as a garnish.
