Ingredients

  • 1 lb. green beans
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 (22 oz.) red pack whole tomatoes in puree
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the green beans, oil, salt, pepper, and minced onion in a large skillet.
  2. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the whole tomatoes in puree to the skillet.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  5. Simmer until the green beans are tender and the flavors meld, about 10 minutes.
