Ingredients

  • carrot strips
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 3 c. water
  • 1/8 c. salt
  • 1/3 pod red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. dill seed

Instructions

  1. Place straight carrot strips upright in sterilized jars, together with red pepper, dill seed and garlic button.
  2. Mix vinegar, water and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  3. Pour boiling mixture over carrots in jars.
  4. Have jars warm so they will not break.
  5. Screw lids on tight.
  6. Let set for a week before opening.
