- Place straight carrot strips upright in sterilized jars, together with red pepper, dill seed and garlic button.
- Mix vinegar, water and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Pour boiling mixture over carrots in jars.
- Have jars warm so they will not break.
- Screw lids on tight.
- Let set for a week before opening.
