Ingredients

  • 1 thick center-cut ham steak (about 1 1/2 lb.)
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Slash the flat edge of the ham at 1-inch intervals, but do not cut into the meat.
  2. Combine prepared mustard, catsup, honey, wine vinegar, and soy sauce to make the barbecue sauce.
  3. Preheat the grill to about 5 or 6 inches above the coals.
  4. Grill the ham about 5 minutes on each side, brushing often with the barbecue sauce, making 3 turns in all.
