Cayenne Cheese Surprises are savory, spicy bite-sized snacks combining sharp Cheddar, cayenne pepper, and crispy rice Krispies, perfect for parties or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Form small balls and place on a cookie sheet.
  3. Flatten the balls and bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Watch carefully and cool before removing from the cookie sheet.
  5. They can be made ahead of time and frozen.
