Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. cream
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, cream, sugar, salt, and corn syrup in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 238 degrees Fahrenheit or soft ball stage on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Add vanilla extract and beat until the mixture is creamy.
  5. Stir in the broken nuts.
  6. Pour the mixture into a shallow greased 11 x 7-inch pan.
  7. Allow to cool completely.
  8. Cut into squares and wrap for serving.
