Ingredients

  • 32 oz. package hash brown potatoes
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, salt, and pepper together.
  3. Add shredded Cheddar cheese to the mixture and stir well.
  4. Butter a 9 x 13-inch dish.
  5. Add hash brown potatoes to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish, spreading evenly.
  7. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cornflake crumbs on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes until bubbly and golden.
